Aalberts is a globally operating technology company listed on the Dutch stock exchange Euronext. The Executive Team is responsible for the leadership of the 15 business teams, best practices exchange through specialised Aalberts networks and driving our strategy 'Focused acceleration' 2018-2022 to achieve our Aalberts objectives. A lean and effective management structure. The head office with 25 employees including the Management Board, facilitates central functions like strategy, marketing & communications, M&A, business development, group control, legal and governance, treasury, tax, insurance, internal audit and all responsibilities and communications towards our shareholders.
To further strengthen the small and efficient legal team at the head office in Utrecht we are looking for a:
Your main responsibility will be to manage the legal process for international M&A transactions and divestments. Therefore you work closely with the director M&A, general counsel and other (international) colleagues with an operational, financial, commercial and/or legal background. The corporate legal counsel advises the business on matters relating to corporate law including legal restructurings and commercial contracting. You will also be responsible for further improving the existing governance and compliance framework by initializing improved trainings, e-learning and other legal measures.
You will be managing external legal counsel and you report to and team up with the general counsel. You will have an important role within the team and organisation, for which a strong, persuasive and entrepreneurial personality is required.
At Aalberts you will be part of an experienced and lean team with a proven track record in M&A projects. You will have an independent role with a lot of flexibility and corresponding responsibility, the opportunity to quickly learn and personally develop.
