The International Legal Counsel will be part of the Legal team in the European region. The position is based in Amsterdam and the International Legal Counsel will report to the General Counsel & Company Secretary, also based in Amsterdam.
You will be first point of contact for all IP related questions including: the management of the IP portfolio for the UK, Benelux, Germany and Spain, leading systematic reviews of IP needs and coverage, tracking live issues and projects on behalf of brand owners and coordinating regular reviews with brand owners and Novagraaf. Besides you will review, negotiate and terminate various commercial contracts such as sourcing agreements, distribution agreements etc. The International Legal Counsel will have an active role in setting up standard documentation. Data privacy is an important topic for Wessanen. You will ensure that Wessanen is compliant with GDPR including: monitor implementation of data privacy policies and keep policies up to date, support local data privacy ambassadors with in-depth knowledge and pragmatic solutions, contract negotiations (with suppliers), training and awareness.
You will work closely together with the General Counsel & Company Secretary, the Legal Counsels based in France and Italy and with your colleagues of the business of Wessanen across Europe.
